Michael J. Ho, Ph.D.
Michael has over 15 years of investment banking experience. He specializes in consulting engagements relating to investment banking, specifically in the field of mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.Prior to co-founding CLB, Michael was a Principal in Investment Banking at Robertson Stephens & Company, a leading financial adviser to emerging growth companies in the high technology, health care, and consumer product and specialty retailing industries. While at Robertson Stephens, Michael was most recently the Director of Asia Pacific Investment Banking and prior to assuming that position, responsible for the firm's mergers and acquisitions activity in the technology and biotechnology sectors. Before joining Robertson Stephens, he was in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at The First Boston Corporation, under the direction of Bruce Wasserstein and Joe Perella.
Michael received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, an M.B.A. in Finance from M.I.T. and his Ph.D. in Finance from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Michael has also served as a Professor of Finance at Babson College and Butler Univeristy teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in enterprise valuation and investment banking and is currently the Rust Visiting Associate Professor at the Darden Graduate School of Business.
