Peter J. Hughes

Peter Hughes has over 21 years of experience in the banking field. Since 1991, he has served as an advisor to financial institutions and selected corporations on investment banking and corporate finance issues including strategy development, executive training, valuation, and merger analysis.

Prior to co-founding CLB, Peter was an Executive Director at Citicorp/Citibank where he was responsible for designing and implementing a client focused management process. He was also responsible for managing the training and development for the global finance sector. Peter was a senior officer at Chase Manhattan Bank with assignments in international mergers and acquisitions, investment banking and strategic planning. He has also held relationship management and product specialist positions at First National Bank of Boston and Bankers Trust.

Peter is a member of the Board of Editors of Financial Practice and Education. He has taught courses at the New York Institute for Finance, the American Institute of Banking, and for Euromoney Institute of Finance. He has also been a guest lecturer at Georgetown University, Duke University and New York University. He has been quoted in Corporate Finance, American Banker, Journal of Commerce and Euromoney.
